About Brother Johnny

Brother Johnny Munoz was born in 1948 in Ft. Bend County, Texas. He lived the first 13 years of his life on a farm, learning the principles of seedtime and harvest from a practical perspective.

Johnny joined the United States Air Force in 1968. After serving his country for 4 ½ years he worked for Lockheed Electronics at the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center located on the outskirts of Houston, Texas. After working for Lockheed for 15 months Johnny wanted to try something else. He joined Hughes Tool Company in 1974 where he worked as a machinist and advanced to inspector in the Quality Control Department.

Johnny received Jesus Christ as his Lord on 2 September 1984. The very next day he presented the gospel to a friend. His friend said, “No.''. Since the friend had an eleven- year-old son with him, Johnny asked if he could speak to the boy. The man said, “Sure, I am not ready to pray,but talk to my son.'' The boy eagerly received the Word and prayed for salvation. Johnny got hooked, and has been leading people to the Lord with gladness ever since that day. Johnny has a very unique way of talking to people. He is a bold ambassador for Christ.

Johnny met his wife, Virdeen in 1984. They married in 1986 and have two children, a boy and a girl. Johnny and Virdeen both graduated from the School of Ministry at Abundant Life Christian Center in LaMarque, Texas.  Johnny has served as Spanish translator to various ministers in the US and Latin America.  He has ministered in churches in Spanish and English.  Bro. Johnny brings a message of encouragement through sound Bible preaching based solely on the Word of God.

One of Brother Johnny's favorite scriptures is Psalm 119:89. “Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.” (KJV) There is no dispute in heaven concerning our health, our prosperity, or our peace of mind. The dispute happens down here on the earth when we entertain negative thoughts. If we allow negative thoughts to stay between our ears for too long then we will allow them into our inner man, then we speak them and we create a life of defeat instead of a life of victory.
