There are few absolutes in this life of global consequences and constantly evolving social mores. The one absolute that encompasses all others is the Word of God. The Word is true for everyone, believer or non-believer, man or woman, young or old. It is true for everyone just like gravity, in the natural, is true for everyone. Not everyone understands gravity, and there are some who don’t even know that gravity exists, but they live in the effects of gravity every day of their lives. Not everyone understands the Word of God and there are some who don’t even know it exists, but they live in the effects of the Word every day of their lives.
To benefit from the abundant promises and blessings of the Word, one must act in obedience and agreement with the Word. Basically, we need to follow instructions. If the Word says to do something, do it. If it says to not do something, we need to stop doing it. The Word is never complicated or confusing, but it is, most certainly, deep. It is much like an onion, with truths that continue to be revealed, as one moves from layer to layer.
God’s Word is His Will and Wisdom to every believer. There is no problem found among men that God’s wisdom cannot solve. Often, however, people do not like the answer and reject it, but there is always an answer. Sometimes the answer requires a person to completely re-examine their beliefs. Sometimes the answer addresses an error that occurred years earlier. Sometimes the answer requires an amount of effort that the seeker is just unwilling to give. But there is always an answer.
You must believe that God’s Word is always right whether it supports your ideas or not. We must conform our thinking and actions to the Word, not judge the veracity of the Word against our experiences. The absolute necessary foundation for all answered prayer is the belief that God’s Word is true no matter what. From that standpoint, you are ready to learn and grow and experience everything God has created for you.
